REFLECTION

PERSONALLY TEST

BASED ON THE TEST THAT I HAVE DONE,I FINALLY REALISED THAT I'M THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING NEW,OR IN OTHER WORD ALWAYS WANTED TO STAY IN MY COMFORT ZONE.THUS,I WILL TRY MY BEST TO FIND ANY NEW OPPORTUNITIES AND ALSO TRY TO ESCAPE FROM THE COMFORT ZONE.

SMART GOAL

BASED ON MY SMART GOAL,I CLEARLY KNOW WHAT I REALLY WANT IN MY FUTURE,WHICH IS TO ENTER OR PURSUE MY UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE IN UNITED KINGDOM.BESIDES THAT,I'M CONFIDENT TO SAY THAT MY SMART GOAL IS MEASURABLE.MOREOVER,I'M ALSO CONFIDENT TO SAY THAT MY GOALS ARE ATTAINABLE IF I REALLY STRIVE FOR IT.BESIDES,I SET A TIME FRAME FOR MY GOAL,WHICH IS MY GOAL MUST BE ACHIEVED BEFORE 2016.

VAK LEARNING STYLE

FROM THE TEST THAT I HAD CARRIED OUT,I REALISED THAT I'M A VISUALISING LEARNING.I WOULD PREFER TO SEE,READ OR WATCHING.BECAUSE OF THIS,I KNEW THAT I'M ALSO A LAZY PERSON BECAUSE I DON'T REALLY LIKE TO INVOLVE IN DOING WORKS.

SO,I KNOW MY LEARNING STYLE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME TO REALISE MY DREAM.AFTER DOING THIS TEST,I KNOW WHAT I SHOULD CHANGE IN ORDER TO GET WHAT I WANT.

I HOPE THAT I'M ABLE TO CHANGE MYSELF SO THAT I'M ABLE TO BECOME A BETTER PERSON AND ALSO ACHIEVE MY ASPIRATIONS.

  1. Visual learners
  2. Auditory learners
  3. Kinaesthetic learners
Visual learners tend to:
  • Learn through seeing
  • Think in pictures and need to create vivid mental images to retain information
  • Enjoy looking at maps, charts, pictures, videos, and movies
  • Have visual skills which are demonstrated in puzzle building, reading, writing, understanding charts and graphs, a good sense of direction, sketching, painting, creating visual metaphors and analogies (perhaps through the visual arts), manipulating images, constructing, fixing, designing practical objects, and interpreting visual images
FROM THE TEST THAT I HAD DONE,I FOUND THAT THE TEST SHOWS MY LEARNING STYLE IS VISUALISE.I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE TEST RESULT AS I DON'T REALLY NEED TO DO LOTS OF WORK TO UNDERSTAND THINGS.THE ONLY THING I NEED FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING IS VISUALISING THE SITUATION.FOR EXAMPLE,I CAN UNDERSTAND THINGS THAT MY LECTURER TAUGHT ME IN THE SCHOOL WITHOUT WRITING ANY NOTES.
Auditory learners tend to:
  • Learn through listening
  • Have highly developed auditory skills and are generally good at speaking and presenting
  • Think in words rather than pictures
  • Learn best through verbal lectures, discussions, talking things through and listening to what others have to say
  • Have auditory skills demonstrated in listening, speaking, writing, storytelling, explaining, teaching, using humour, understanding the syntax and meaning of words, remembering information, arguing their point of view, and analysing language usage
Kinesthetic learners tend to:
  • Learn through moving, doing and touching
  • Express themselves through movement
  • Have good sense of balance and eye-hand coordination
  • Remember and process information through interacting with the space around them
  • Find it hard to sit still for long periods and may become distracted by their need for activity and exploration
  • Have skills demonstrated in physical coordination, athletic ability, hands on experimentation, using body language, crafts, acting, miming, using their hands to create or build, dancing, and expressing emotions through the body.

S.M.A.R.T Goals

Specific: A specific goal has a much greater chance of being accomplished than a general goal. To set a specific goal you must answer the six “W” questions:
*Who:      Who is involved?
*What:     What do I want to accomplish?
*Where:    Identify a location.
*When:     Establish a time frame.
*Which:    Identify requirements and constraints.
*Why:      Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.
MY GOAL THAT I SET TO ACHIEVE IS GET INTO UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE,GET 4A* IN MY A LEVEL PROGRAM AND ALSO BECOME A DD IN MY BUSINESS.

Measurable - Establish concrete criteria for measuring progress toward the attainment of each goal you set.
When you measure your progress, you stay on track, reach your target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement that spurs you on to continued effort required to reach your goal.
To determine if your goal is measurable, ask questions such as……
How much? How many?
How will I know when it is accomplished?
I WANT TO GET 4 A*

Attainable – When you identify goals that are most important to you, you begin to figure out ways you can make them come true. You develop the attitudes, abilities, skills, and financial capacity to reach them. You begin seeing previously overlooked opportunities to bring yourself closer to the achievement of your goals.
You can attain most any goal you set when you plan your steps wisely and establish a time frame that allows you to carry out those steps. Goals that may have seemed far away and out of reach eventually move closer and become attainable, not because your goals shrink, but because you grow and expand to match them. When you list your goals you build your self-image. You see yourself as worthy of these goals, and develop the traits and personality that allow you to possess them.
WORK HARD LIKE I NEVER WORK HARD BEFORE.

Realistic- To be realistic, a goal must represent an objective toward which you are both willing and able to work. A goal can be both high and realistic; you are the only one who can decide just how high your goal should be. But be sure that every goal represents substantial progress.
A high goal is frequently easier to reach than a low one because a low goal exerts low motivational force. Some of the hardest jobs you ever accomplished actually seem easy simply because they were a labor of love.
I'M SURE THAT I WILL ACHIEVE WHATEVER I WANT.
Timely – A goal should be grounded within a time frame. With no time frame tied to it there’s no sense of urgency. If you want to lose 10 lbs, when do you want to lose it by? “Someday” won’t work. But if you anchor it within a timeframe, “by May 1st”, then you’ve set your unconscious mind into motion to begin working on the goal.
Your goal is probably realistic if you truly believe that it can be accomplished. Additional ways to know if your goal is realistic is to determine if you have accomplished anything similar in the past or ask yourself what conditions would have to exist to accomplish this goal.
MY A2 EXAMINATION IS COMING AND I WILL BE TESTED ON IT BY NEXT YEAR.
T can also stand for Tangible – A goal is tangible when you can experience it with one of the senses, that is, taste, touch, smell, sight or hearing.
When your goal is tangible you have a better chance of making it specific and measurable and thus attainable.

That's all about my SMART goal. Goal are set to be achieved, not for illustration purposes only .Once I set it, i will try to achieve it!!
